Barcelona: Day Two
Saturday, April 9th, we woke up and had scrambled eggs and toast. This miraculous breakfast was exactly what I needed to get out of the funk of hard bread italian breakfast. Seriously all of europe could use a stern talking to about what constitutes a good way to start your day. Silly Europeans.
Ashley and Amy and I then headed to Casa Mila, a cool appartment designed by Antonio Gaudi (who also did the Sagrada Familia and much of the rest of Barcelona, really cool architect around the same era as Frank Lloyd Wright in America). Casa Mila was really neat, so with no further adieu...

So after Casa Mila Ashley and I went to go check out the school that the students in Barcelona are studying at. It was pretty cool, but it's 30 minutes away from the apartments so that's a bummer. From there Ashley and I headed to the Plaza Catalunya where I found a great shoe store and bought some shoes, then went to the Corte Ingles and got some great headphones to replace the old ones which I accidently sat on and broke in Siena. Yeah, that sucked. But Corte Ingles was neat, like the biggest department store of all time selling all kinds of American stuff (hence the name, stuff from the English Speaking World). In the bottom of Corte Ingles is a great grocery where we got some avacados and spices to make fajitas that night.

So we wrapped up at Corte Ingles and headed back to the apartment where again we chilled for a while, then had fajitas for dinner. They were amazing, thanks Ashley! After that we went to a movie. We saw "Team America: World Police" which was sort of interesting, not that incredibly funny but made fun of Kim Jong Il and the United Nations which I enjoyed. Of course it made fun of America too, but hey... Michael Moore suicide bombs Mt. Rushmore in the movie and they call him a socialist weasel. Does it get better than that? So after the movie we hung out for a bit and then headed to bed to get an early start again for Sunday!
